I want you to stop wasting your time doing the same old thing and TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

These LIES do not work, so STOP believing them:

Long Duration Cardio!- Despite what you’ve been led to believe, performing long, slow, and boring cardio day after day is not beneficial in burning fat. In fact, it may even be counter-productive in helping you reach a fat loss goal.

Caloric Restriction – You read that right… you’re not eating enough. Forgot calories in = calories out. The only way to quickly and effectively burn fat AND keep it off, is by building lean and metabolic muscle tissue. You won’t build that tone frame without giving your body the fuel it needs to build.

Fad Diets – there are literally thousands of them, and guess what? NONE of them work! Low calorie, low carb, low fat, high carb, high fat, the ‘cleanse’… I’d say I’ve seen them all, but I’m sure something new will come out tomorrow. Here’s a good rule of thumb, if it mentions the word ‘Diet’, don’t fall for it. The only diet you need to learn is making smart choices.

The ‘Abs’ Thingy-Majingy – You know, the one that was advertised on that channel promising to give you rock hard six pack abs in as little as 4 minutes per day… The one that you spent $99 on last year, $129 the year before, and $79 the year before that. The one that you rarely used because you discovered it didn’t work. You can add 95% of the other gadgets you’ve seen on TV too.

‘Toning up’ – When I hear this phrase I envision someone ‘cranking out’ 3 sets of 15 – 20 reps with those lightweight pink dumbbells. I’m sorry, but it just doesn’t work that way. In order to ‘Tone up’, you need to challenge your muscles, fatigue them, and stimulate change. The pink dumbbells likely are not going to work for this.

I just want to lose a few pounds, mostly around my midsection – Plain and simple, weight loss is not specific to one particular area. You can do 1,000 crunches per day and you won’t lose fat from your abdomen any faster than you will from the rest of your body.


You may dispute or disagree with any one of these findings, it’s your right to do so; but you will be wrong.

I’ve been in the fitness industry since 2002 and have helped over 500 clients learn about how to live a better life. I’ve read all the articles, the studies, and textbooks.
